The Grandest of Canyons

Taking trips to go see new places and go on new adventures is something that just about everybody enjoys doing.  Once place that is common to tourists and people who are big time adventurers is the Grand Canyon.  Known to be one of the seven wonders of the natural world the Grand Canyon is located in Arizona.  Vast in size and just a wonder to look at the Grand Canyon is 277 miles long, about 18 miles at its widest point, and around 6,000 feet deep.  I never realized what those measurements looked like until my family and I went and saw it with our own eyes.  It was the 17th national park established in the United States and one could argue that it is among the most popular with around 5 million visitors coming to enjoy the beauty of it every year.  People don’t just come to take in the marvelous site, although they could; hiking and rafting are also very common in the area.

My family and I always heard of people going to check it out and so finally one weekend we decided to go see what everyone had to go see.  The drive from our home in California was long but it was well worth it.  It was enormous and just so beautiful.  We took countless photos and videos and we made sure to go on some hikes and we also went rafting close by.  We wanted to make sure we didn’t just drive up there to take a couple pictures and go home… and I’m glad that wasn’t all we did.  We wanted to buy a couple souvenirs so we got a couple mugs and hats, and we couldn’t help but think we had to add some postcardsPenless offers a Grand Canyon postcard that we were able to attach with a hiking video and it was perfect! It was definitely a trip to remember and Penless helps to relive the moment in a fun and unique way.
