Ah, the best time of the year is finally upon us. Summer is that magical time that kids look forward to after the school year. It is a time of year when we skip our Netflix binges and kids play outside until the street lights come on.  You dream of sleeping in then lounging poolside while watching your kids play nicely with eachother.  Then reality hits: “Mom we’re bored.  What can we do?” Well, if you are not the type of mom who can engage in pretend play for multiple hours a day, you will need a list of activities to fight off summertime boredom.

Here are some summer fun suggestions:

• Plant a garden
• Have a picnic
• Go on a hike
• Go camping. Even if it is in the backyard – kids love it!
• Make a scrapbook as you do all your activities. At the end of the summer, it will be fun to look back and remember all the fun you had.
