Visiting the Caribbean has always been on my bucket list.  There are dozens of islands scattered across the Caribbean. With the warm, clear waters, white sand beaches and endless sunshine, it is truly paradise found!  Well, I finally got the chance to go and could not ask for better vacation.

We visited The Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. John and St. Kitts.  It is hard to go wrong with any of the islands you decide to go to.  All of them have so much natural beauty! From the colonial buildings and Dutch heritage to the stunning sunsets over the crystal-clear waters, to the amazingly friendly people the Caribbean is somewhere that I will want to go back to again and again.

What I wanted and expected was a very relaxing vacation.  Well, this definitely delivered. The most difficult decisions we had to make during our trip was which beach to relax on that day and do I want a chilled sangria or a rum cocktail! Laying on the beach, sipping drinks out of a coconut, and being surrounded by chilled-out people all day certainly exceeded my expectations. If I closed my eyes, I could almost hear a Bob Marley or a Jimmy Buffett song playing in the background.

One activity that got us off the beach was snorkeling off the coast of St. John.  We saw a ton of marine life including turtles, rays, and colorful tropical fish.  We even discovered some reefs in the warm, clear water.  This was an experience not to be missed.

We ended each day watching the sun display every color imaginable over the shimmering turquoise waters.  Taking in the sunset each night made for the perfect end to a carefree day.
