An end of an era. A bittersweet goodbye, and a start of a new chapter- graduation. As I do not have kids of my own, I have watched my nephew Chase grow up. Through all the ups and downs, I have seen him conquer anything he set his mind to.
For his graduation, I am buying Penless QR code stickers and attaching a video or picture to each gift. Penless has stickers in the shape of graduation hats which I think is very clever and perfect for this event. No matter the event, they seem to always have the perfect sticker!
Anyways, on each gift I give him, there will be a picture or video from his childhood. The first gift I give him is going to be a bear with a graduation cap on. I thought it was really cute! I will attach a sticker with a video of his first steps. The second gift is going to be a picture frame. The frame is going to be white all around so I can put a sticker on all four corners of the frame without it looking cluttered. Each sticker will have a different picture of him: first day of freshman year, first day of sophomore year, first day of junior year, and finally the first day of senior year. I will buy one big picture in the actual frame of his senior year portrait. Lastly, my third gift is going to be graduation money. It is going to be hard to put an actual sticker on money so I am going to put the sticker on the envelope. That video will be of the graduation ceremony. I will take a video of all the students throwing their caps up.
Chase has been looking forward to graduation since freshman year so I am so excited for him to start this new journey. He claims he will not be sad but I think he may be a little sad by the end of the night. This is the first of my nieces and nephews to graduate so I excited to watch him walk and receive his diploma. Congratulations to all the graduates!
