Planning the Perfect Party

This year I am planning my sister Jenna’s birthday party.  She is turning 50.  Since this is a milestone birthday, I want to make it special and memorable.  I know she always likes house parties so I was going to host it at my house with family and her close friends.

Having ample time to prepare will allow me to throw a relatively hassle-free birthday party.  I made a list on my Penless Idea Board https://www.penless.com/ so I wouldn’t forget anything.  I included the following:

  • Choose the date
  • Pick the venue
  • Finalize guest list
  • Send invitations
  • Formulate a budget
  • Plan the menu
  • Make a shopping list
  • Decide on theme
  • Rent high top tables & heaters
  • Buy decorations

Most of this was pretty easy.  Since her birthday falls on a Saturday, that was the day of the party.  It was going to be in my backyard, so the venue was set.  I am going to hire caterers which will supply all the food, set up and clean up.  Doesn’t get much easier than that!

I want the backyard to look very festive, so I went to get some twinkle lights, pretty table cloths and nice centerpieces.

One thing my sister is going to love is getting the birthday themed Penless greeting cardPenless has a variety of greeting cards but one is specifically for birthdays.  I am giving a few to my friends who haven’t downloaded the Penless app yet.  After downloading the app, all they have to do is upload a video or picture onto the QR code.  Jenna is going to love getting all the personalized cards. Since I know she already has the Penless app, she just has to scan the QR code and enjoy.

As far as the invitations, I am sending a nice card with a Penless sticker.  The guests can scan the sticker and it will have all the information they need for the party.

I can’t wait to welcome my sister and all the guests to my house and have a great time.
