As I am finishing up my schooling at California state University-Fullerton, I have began to focus on my future career and what I want to do. I have studied abroad junior year with a few friends and that trip sparked my interest in traveling. Being a travel blogger seems like a good idea although the field is very competitive. I have toured across America, and ventured out to Europe while abroad at school. I conducted some research on some of the best places to travel so I can start my blog and finally I knew my destinations! I will be heading off to the seven wonders of the world: The Great Wall of China, Christ the Redeemer Statue, Machu Picchu, Chichen Itza, The Roman Colosseum, Taj Mahal, and Petra.

My journey to all these places my take place over the next few years but I am all prepared to head out once I graduate! The first destination is The Great Wall of China  . This wall stretches about 4,000 miles and took decades to finish. This is one of top tourist destinations in China, even though it is over 2,300 years old. The wall was built in order to protect Chinese states from being invaded by the nomads. This wall is engraved with history, and I cannot wait to walk alongside it in the near future!

Christ the Redeemer Statue, also known as the statue of Jesus Christ, is located in Rio de Janeiro. It stands 130 tall above this Brazilian town. With its arms spread out, it represents Brazilian Christianity with the ocean as a backdrop. This powerful monument was built nearly one hundred years ago in 1920.

Peru is my next destination! I will be visiting the historic landmark of Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is also known as “the lost city of Incas” because it was abandoned in 1572 by the Inca civilization. It did not last long considering it was founded in 1450.  Elevated more than 7,000 feet above sea level, its breathtaking to look down upon the dry-stone walls of this astonishing lost civilization. I am most looking forward to capturing the beauty of Machu Picchu on a Penless sticker to send to all my friends back home.

Chichen Itza  is located in Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula. The Chichen Itza is has many pyramids and temples created by the Maya people. The four most popular groupings of pyramids at Chichen Itza are: The Great North Platform, The Ossario Group, The Central Group, and The old Chichen.

The Roman Colosseum, located in Rome, is the next place I will be. When I studied abroad, I did see this ancient monument, but it was very brief and I have not done any research about it. Lately I’ve been finding out some interesting facts and I cannot wait to learn even more when I arrive here. The Roman Colosseum is a hot spot for tourists, but I can’t blame them. Even though it has been around since 80 A.D., thousands of people walk past this stone walled amphitheater every day.

India is the next bucket list location. The Taj Mahal  is located in a city called Agra. Agra has a population of just over 1.5 million people! The Taj Mahal was built in honor of Shah Jahan’s wife who unfortunately passed away at a young age. Shah Jahan was the Mughal emperor. There is so much history hiding behind this billion-dollar masterpiece.

Last but not least, I will be visiting Petra in Jordan. Petra has been around since B.C. It is famous for its water technology and construction. It even holds a 4,000 seat amphitheater! I do not know much about Petra but I’m excited to learn more about it!

I will constantly be taking photos to share with all my friends and family back home! I will send them Penless postcards with videos attached to them so they can see the world just like me! I hope that I can join an agency soon to share all my pictures, videos, and blogs with! But as for now, I will be taking Penless along with me to explore all the beauty this world has to offer! It will be fascinating to see all the people and walks of life out there!
